INTRODUCTION

Every living thing breathes, everyone needs air. All who have visited Mexico City have  seen the thick layer of smog in the morning, have witnessed the polluted air left behind by a car, how it affects not only humans, but all living things , This influences some change for them; How changes have been attempted to reduce this problem. A solution to this problem can be obtained. Air is an essential natural resource for life on Earth, almost all living beings need it to survive, it benefits us, it is important to conserve it, even if it is an inexhaustible resource if it can contaminate and cause negative alterations in this resource, affecting To humans and also to other species, in general to the whole environment that interacts with it causing serious problems  in ecosystems, the environment and other natural resources, is why the following essay will address the above mentioned, focusing on What is the main cause of air pollution in Mexico City. The objective of this essay is to generate a change in the consciousness of human beings demonstrating the consequences that can bring us if we continue to damage the air, because only we can take care of and rescue the resources that our planet offers us putting drastic measures  that really present a Change, with the collaboration of the entire human population, demanding  that the government invest in more sustainable transport, things where each resource is properly  used, taking care of it in the most responsible way. Returning to the main objective we can make an unknown of what is the main cause of air pollution in Mexico City? 35% of the pollution is caused by automobiles; the other 65% is due to pollution of factories, fuels, power generators, chemicals used in industries, among other factors.

The main cause of air pollution in Mexico City.

The air contains oxygen, thanks to this different species both animal and plant perform their functions, such as plants that absorb oxygen, also perform photosynthesis with the help of solar energy, water and carbon dioxide in the air, to release An amount of oxygen that benefits other species, "plants produce much more oxygen by photosynthesis than they consume by breathing, so plants are real oxygen plants that renew the air" (López, 2017).

Also within animals has a fundamental role, as we know cells are the most important unit for life, we are formed by groups of animal cells that need oxygen to fulfill the various functions they play. "Cells, being aerobic, require for their normal functioning of oxygen from lung breathing" (Salvador, S.F).

Let us therefore emphasize the importance of the air to move the oxygen in our planet, generating favorable conditions for the development of life; We must care for it, even though it is an inexhaustible natural resource, if it can be contaminated as a result of human activities. "One of the most significant elements for human life and all living things is air. [...] is the fundamental part of breathing that allows survival "(Nicuesa, 2016).

Acid rain as a consequence of pollution affects plants, trees and animals, as well as buildings, metals, and soils because "it is stressed that in the South of Mexico City are more acid rain effects, because in the Alkaline soils help neutralize pH "(Durand, 2015).

The high degree of pollution in the most populous countries has led to fatal consequences, since all the pollutants generated by man join the smog, causing many deaths in Mexico City where pollution has increased considerably due to cars Which circulate within it. "According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), [...] at present there are 23.8 million cars; Of these, five million are circulating in Mexico City "(Anonymous, 2014).

This condition has worsened since a few months, that began to present great amount of patients with respiratory problems because of this contamination.

The executive coordinator of the Megalopolis Environmental Commission Martín Gutiérrez Lacayo pointed out that there have been 22 thousand deaths in a year in Mexico City associated with poor air quality, [...]. (Anonymous, 2016)

It is alarming the degree of pollution that has occurred in Mexico City, what is it that produces this contamination? Air pollution is caused by vehicles "At the national level, the main source of air pollution is: vehicles 35%" (Gaitán, 2012), how can we solve this problem that affects the Mexican population?

More rigorous measures must be implemented by the government, such as investing in more public transport; According to the president of the Mexican Transport and Mobility Association Jesús Padilla (quoted by Xinhua) "explained that public buses carry up to 70 percent of the city's inhabitants" (2016). It should be given maintenance to provide citizens with a safe and quality transportation, reducing the purchase of cars, affecting the air less.

CONCLUSION

Air is elemental for living beings, they help plants to perform photosynthesis producing oxygen for the absorption of other species, such as animals, who through their cells transform energy through oxygen in ways that benefit the individual. In general the air is very important but if it is polluted it would no longer help the living beings in the same way, on the contrary it would affect them causing even death.. The subject I wanted to focus on was pollution in Mexico City because it is worrying that there are so contaminated places in our country. The main source of pollution is caused by the cars that are used daily, it is very large the number of cars that circulate, five million, and to think that of these many can be in bad conditions which makes the situation worse. The primary objective of the test is that the reader will realize the importance of air for our existence, and that what causes this pollution are the large number of cars that are used validates the hypothesis raised at the beginning, % Of air pollution is caused by automobiles, then it is proposed that the government invest more in public transport, And to review them at certain times to avoid problems such as expelling many pollutants due to the malfunction of the engine, as well as guaranteeing the user safety, because if you see the change in these situations citizens would choose to travel by public transport and they would not buy more cars. Another alternative would be to find ways to access ecological cars that run on solar energy through panels, or cars that occupy less harmful air pollutants; in short there are many alternatives that arise every day with the advancement of technology, as technology is an example that we human beings have the ability to reason and seek different solutions to the problems we face day by day.
